Ofsted inspectors visited our school on the 22nd & 23rd February. In their new report, they found Torfield’s pupils are ‘immersed in literature’ and that ‘their special educational needs are not seen as a barrier to learning or to full participation in all that life has to offer.’ The team found that our pupils love coming to Torfield and that they and their families are proud of the school. We are proud to say that the inspectors found that ‘Torfield continues to be an Outstanding School’.

As a school we are delighted that the inspectors recognised the aspects of our school that are most important to our children and their families: The report describes what a caring and happy school Torfield is and the high aspirations we share for all of our pupils. We are pleased that the report recognises that the school has grown and developed since our last inspection in 2017. Although the report did not identify that any further improvements were needed, this process has enabled us to explore ways that we think we can do even better in future. Our team of staff and governors, our parents and our amazing children have all contributed to making Torfield the great school it is and we are hugely grateful to everyone involved in the school.

We are very proud that the inspection team recognised how the efforts of everyone at Torfield come together to make such a positive difference to our children and their families.
