This week children at Torfield have been getting ready for the Hastings Umbrella Parade. Thanks to special art workshops delivered by Imogen Andrews from Radiator Arts for children in Antarctica and Oceania classes. During these workshops every child designed and made their own special umbrella using a range of different materials. Once the umbrellas were complete each class tested them out with a parade around the playground! We are looking forward to seeing pupils from Torfield join the Umbrella Parade which is on Sunday 19 February. It starts are 12pm on the seafront promenade at the bottom of London Road, St Leonards. If you would like to make an umbrella during half term Radiator Arts are running free workshops. Visit the Hastings Fat Tuesday website for more details.
